10 Amazon Products That Make Life Worth Living Without Power!
When the power goes out, life can feel like it's flipped upside down. No lights, no A/C, no robot vacuums, and let’s not even talk about trying to cook dinner. After being without power for 10 days, I’ve come to rely on Amazon products that made life much easier. Here are my top 10 Amazon finds:
DeWalt Lights
First things first, you need light. DeWalt lights have been my savior. Shine these up toward the ceiling, and they’ll light up an entire room. No more stumbling around in the dark or relying on weak flashlights—these get the job done and then some.

Fans
No power usually means no air conditioning, and trust me, sleeping without a breeze can feel impossible. This EGO fan is amazing. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but if you already own tools that use the same batteries, it’s worth every penny. Having a fan running at night made a huge difference in comfort.
If the budget is tight you can opt for a fan that utilizes batteries you already own. I’m a dewalt fan myself.

Magnetic Phone Chargers
The last thing you want during a blackout is a dead phone. Magnetic phone chargers saved us from going off the grid completely. Just slap one of these on the back of your phone, and it gives you enough juice to last all day. No scrambling for outlets or dealing with messy cables.

Cheap Headlamps
Headlamps are a must-have, especially when everyone in the family has their own. Keeping them around your neck means you don’t have to fumble around in the dark when the sun goes down, and they’re available right when you need them. These headlamps are lifesavers!

Chainsaw
We had quite a bit of fallen debris after the storm, and having a chainsaw on hand was essential. For some it was a matter of life or death, they couldn’t leave the driveway in their vehicle without removing a fallen tree.
I’m a fan of the Echo brand. Most of the pros around here use them, and for good reason—they start up every time without a hassle. If you’ve got trees or branches to clear, don’t go without a reliable chainsaw.

Propane Torch (with a blower)
This propane torch will help you burn through debris, even if it’s still a little damp. Hit it with the blower for that extra heat boost. We managed to clear out a ton of fallen limbs thanks to this handy tool.

Motion Lights for the Bathroom
I pulled a couple of these motion lights from my garage cabinets and set them on the bathroom counters. They’re magnetic and rechargeable, so no need for batteries. The best part? They turn on as soon as you walk in, making nighttime bathroom trips a breeze without having to fumble for a switch.

Dust Mop
No robot vacuum during a power outage? Time to channel your inner pioneer. This large dust mop made sweeping the house super quick and easy. It’s not glamorous, but it gets the job done when your high-tech gadgets are out of commission.

Gas Stove
If you don’t already have a gas stove or camp stove, it’s time to invest. Grab one with a couple of extra propane bottles, and you’re set to cook even when your kitchen appliances are dead. It was the only way we managed to get hot meals during the outage, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Generator
A generator is an absolute must. I swear by my DeWalt generator, but keep in mind, it doesn’t run without gas. Pro tip: get yourself a siphon kit so you can steal gas from mowers, motorcycles, or even that old rust bucket your neighbor has parked out front. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
